Lolo Changes ... - An Exploration of Portland Oregon Food and Drink

lolo, a NE Alberta St. Spanish tapas restaurant and bar from restaurateur Giorgio Kawas, has been sold. The new owner, Kate, was the former General manager and menu planner for the restaurant. The new menu will feature similar, tapas-style food, but with more of a bar feel, with tall tapas tables, etc.

lolo draws from the culinary traditions of all of Northern Spain, including the Basque Country, Cantabria, Asturias and Galicia. In addition to tapas and raciones influenced by Spanish favorites and Pacific Northwest ingredients, lolo?s Spanish wines come from the regions including Rioja, Navarra, Rias Baixas and Catalunya.

The new launch is planned for September, with the new name, ?Bar Lolo?.
