This little indoor gardening project might mean never having to buy celery again. Turn the base end of a bunch of celery (which you'd normally throw out or compost) into a celery plant, for an everlasting supply of the vegetable.
Like regrowing romain lettuce and spring onions, the process involves putting the base into a small bowl of water in sunlight, then planting it in a container after a few days.
Just a week after starting, you'll have celery leaves at the ready and stalks within a few months.
Hit up the 17 Apart blog post before for more details on regrowing your own celery.
