Summary

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for the revenue growth of the signal detection and risk management software systems. They are specialists within the signal detection and risk management field and will build key relationships with relevant third parties so that they become aware of the changing requirements and keep abreast of legislation. They will be responsible for establishing user groups to participate in development, beta and early adopter programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for building a product plan and managing the ongoing development of our signal detection and risk management software systems. He/she will also have responsibility in business development to meet or exceed product revenue and booking targets:

• Planning the product functional overviews / feature lists of each product.
• Ensure the accuracy of product specifications, usability, test strategies, etc. through development of extensive business scenarios.
• Communicating product plans and roadmap to the relevant departments including Marketing, Sales & Support.
• Planning the Release Management and approving the copy of relevant communications.
• Managing the communication of new releases and enhancements to external and internal parties,
• Liaising with the necessary departments within the business and working closely with the development teams to ensure agreed milestones/targets are met.
• Acting as the ?face? of the product group when liaising with stakeholders/customers.
• Actively seeking, in coordination with sales, customer development partners and achieving product success with such partners.
• Customer and trade show presentations.
• Acting as a subject matter expert in sales support.
• Successful execution of go-to-market plans and campaigns within budget.
• Responsible for providing in depth subject matter expert level knowledge of signal detection and risk management through:

1. Customer facing activities: During discussions with potential customers, bring to bear extensive knowledge of the field, and explain not only how our products would suit them, but how they should be doing signal detection / data mining, etc.
2. Industry / agency thought leadership: This position will liaise with agencies on behalf of customers who might be particularly reserved about certain issues.. At the same time, we would like to be viewed as industry experts who are able to set the standard for how risk management and pharmacovigilance should be conducted in accordance with industry best practices.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor?s degree required. Preferably with a background biometrics, epidemiology or medical.
• Experience in working within the software industry.
• 10 years of drug safety and epidemiology experience.
• Experience in product lifecycle management.
• Software development life cycle (SDLC) process knowledge.
• Experience in signal detection and risk management within the life science industry, a research organization or a contract organization supporting one of the above.
• Ability to travel up to 50%of the time as needed.
