Union Savings Bank is pleased to announce the hiring of Rhonda M. Leone of New Canaan, Conn., as vice president, construction lending manager.
In her new position, Leone is responsible for commercial real estate business development lending, construction lending and management and overseeing all commercial construction projects.
?Rhonda brings more than 25 years of comprehensive experience in the real estate market to the bank,? said Union Savings Bank President and CEO Fran Dattalo. ?Her ability to cultivate and expand strong business relationships, as well as her ongoing success in commercial real estate lending, make her a valuable addition to our team.?
Before joining Union Savings Bank, Leone was vice president of commercial lending at Darien Rowayton Bank, where she underwrote commercial and commercial real estate lending requests. Previously, she was vice president, Connecticut market director at Citibank, where she launched and managed Citibank Community Development in Connecticut, focusing on lending to non-profit and for-profit developers for affordable housing and community development projects.
Leone is also an independent fee appraiser and instructor of real estate and appraisal continuing education classes, as well as a former real estate agent.
Leone received her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Connecticut and holds two master?s degrees from the University of Bridgeport: one in education and one in business administration with a concentration in finance.
An active member in her community, Leone volunteers regularly at Strays and Others, a local animal welfare rescue agency. She is also a member of the Connecticut Housing Coalition.
